When installing a terrace board, the following rules must be observed:
Before laying a terrace board from Siberian Larch, it is necessary to prepare the base. When mounting the board in the open air, observe the distance between the boards from 5 to 10 mm – this will contribute to the natural air exchange and the removal of excess moisture in a natural way.
The Siberian Larch board needs to be acclimatized to the conditions where it will be placed. Hold it for some time in the place of the planned construction.
Depending on the type of installation of the terrace board, observe the recommended distance between the beams:
During installation by deck method – 40-60 cm (it depends on the thickness of the board);
For diagonal laying – less than 40 cm.
Terrace board maintenance
Following simple recommendations for the care of a terrace board, you can be sure that it will last you for many years.
At least 2 times a year, usually in the off-season, process the wood of the terrace planks located in the open air, restoring compounds that prevent ageing of the wood, and special wax emulsions against decay.
(Siberian Larch is characterized by high resistance to decay, and special wax emulsions make this material almost eternal.)
Do not allow prolonged stagnation of liquid on the surface of the decking and protect it from strong external damage.
