SOURCE OF RAW MATERIALS
Raw materials for harvesting Siberian Larch are located in the regions of the Russian Federation (Siberia) Ulkan village – Irkutsk Region (Lake Baikal) Ulkan is an urban-type settlement in the Kazachinsko-Lensky district of the Irkutsk region of Russia. The total area occupied by forests is 1630 thousand ha (87% of the district). Forest reserves are mainly represented by coniferous species: Pine, Spruce, Fir, Cedar and Larch. Magistralniy village – Irkutsk Region (Lake Baikal) Magistralniy – Urban-type settlement in Kazachinsko-Lensky district of the Irkutsk region of Russia. The main forest-forming species are Pine and Larch, the remaining tree species are less common in the forestry area. Boguchany village (Krasnoyarsk region) Boguchany is a village, the administrative center of the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was founded in 1642. The village is located on the left bank of the Angara River.The forest fund of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is 168.1 million hectares. Forests cover 71.02% of the territory of the region. Reserves of industrial wood are estimated at 14.4 billion m3, which is 18% of the total Russian timber reserves. More than half of the region’s forests are Larch, about 17% are Spruce and Fir, 12% are Pine and more than 9% are Cedar. The forests of the region are 88% coniferous.
