TECHNOLOGY OF TERRACE BOARD PRODUCTION FROM SIBERIAN LARCH

Technologies for the production of terrace boards. We sell the best terrace boards from Siberian larch of our own production

In the Building materials market, Siberian Larch occupies an important segment. However, before getting to the customer, the tree undergoes special mechanical processing before the final Terrace board product can be sold — terrace board.

Features of decking production technology

After sawing, the wood is heat treated or impregnated.

In the first case, the board is heated with water vapor to a temperature of 200 ° C, in the second – it is processed under pressure in a vacuum using special chemicals. This treatment has several purposes:

  • Tempers the board, making it immune to moisture, mold, fungi;
  • Eliminates harmful substances that may be in the wood;
  • Gives the tree an original color and pattern.

Each of the options has its own advantages. Heat treatment makes wood lighter and gives a special copper hue, impregnation strengthens the board and increases its resistance to adverse external factors.

Next, the material is dried

Thus, the optimum humidity of the board is achieved (about 20%) and the internal stress of the tree is removed. The material becomes more elastic for further processing.

The next step is profiling

The surface of the board is treated in such a way as to achieve maximum smoothness, eliminate possible chips and cracks, and also ensure parallelism of the longitudinal sides.

Terrace board has two types – A smooth or a corrugated surface. The technology of their production has some differences:

  • The smooth board has a clear wood pattern and a flat outer side;
  • The corrugated board on the outside has a wavy structure, due to which moisture does not linger on the surface, which gives an additional anti-slip effect.

Creating special grooves

At this stage of the decking production, special grooves are made on the back of the board. Thanks to them, wood does not suffer from changes in temperature and humidity.

Trimming

Then, if necessary, trimming is performed, creating the necessary number of blanks of the desired length.

Protection

To protect the wood from the subsequent exposure to adverse external factors (Mechanical damage, moisture and temperature changes), the Terrace board is impregnated with special oils and antiseptics.

The final stage

Packing in special packages from a thermoshrinkable film.

The modern production of terrace boards obtains a high-quality, durable, environmentally friendly product used for decoration of residential and office premises, and on the other hand, to preserve all the valuable qualities of Siberian Larch wood.
